Teresa,

OFM is for Windows 2000 and below. VSS is for Windows 2003. VSS uses
Microsoft's built in Volume Shadow Copy Service.

OFM is actually St. Bernard's software that Legato OEM's.

Hi,

We're just starting to look at the possibility of adding something to
our NetWorker environment to back up open files on our Window systems.
For those of you who are doing this, what are our options? I've seen
two things mentioned in the NetWorker documentation - Open File Manager
and VSS. What's the difference? Do they accomplish the same thing but
with different versions of Windows?

Thanks.

Teresa
