Some days I think I've understood things and some days I don't. I
have several clusters set up but I have one confusing me.
I have a Windows cluster. On the host, I've created a 'pathownerignore'
file in the bin directory.
On the server, I've got client instances for the physical nodes and the
cluster groups. I have the physical nodes included in the 'remote
access' field. I've got 'save -c <virtual>' in the 'backup command'
field. That all does it for my other clusters.
In this case, the backup runs, but the client appears to be the physical
node. So the indexes don't associate the backups with the virtual host.
On this cluster and my others, a probe says the same thing:
savefs: path G:\ by default belongs to client <physical> and NOT client
<virtual>!
savefs: Searching for NetWorker bin 'pathownerignore' file.
savefs: Detected ownership override file C:\Program
Files\Legato\nsr\bin\pathownerignore.
savefs: Default client index for scheduled save will be that of <physical>.
But on my other clusters the index is that of the virtual (as I want).
I thought the 'save -c' or the 'pathownerignore' was sufficient to
create this behavior. Is there something else that I've missed?
Thanks.
