Hi Andy
There was a problem reported here a week or two ago regarding abends in BSDSOCK
on machines with multiple processors.
Is this a single or multi-processor machine?
Allan.

Stan,

All the other servers backed up as usual with the earlier client
version. After I back-revved to the previous client version on the
affected server the backup performed as it normally did. There is no
firewall between the servers being backed up and the backup server.

The abend does not occur immediately and on the two occasions I have
tested the new modules on a live server the abend has occured at
different points during the backup.

On the Netware side the abend log points directly to save.nlm as the
culprit. The Networker daemon.log shows no errors just prior to the abend.

On the backup server side the daemon.log shows no errors prior to the
abend and neither does the messages file.

The new problem is with the new modules, most probably save.nlm.

This the the 7.2 client on a Netware 6.5SP4 server. I have tried this
with and without the new Novell LIBC.

Regards
