We have had a lot of problems with UTF-8 characters, long paths and
save
hanging when unloaded. Unfortunately the new save.nlm causes an abend
during the backup so the backup fails.
Is anyone else aware of this problem?
I am unsure of the interaction between these modules but I am
wondering if
it would be possible to run the backup with all the new modules except
save.nlm which could be left at the earlier version. We are
already using a
later save.nlm which resolves the NDS to default pool problem. My
thoughts
are that we would still have the hang on unload of save but the
other errors
should be resolved?
Could there be a network problem involved between the server and
firewall?
How long does the abend take to occur after the backup starts? What
do the
client and server's log files say at the time just prior to the abend?
