Has anyone faced such a problem? Is there a way to recover only the latest
media database with a single command?

You probably want to read the NetWorker Disaster Recovery Guide, and you
likely should be talking with Legato support about why you're having such
problems with your media database (note: there are procedures that can
correct some of the problems).

Getting the media database back (along with the resource files/db)
generally involves the mmrecov command and a bootstrap. You should read
up on mmrecov, after reading the disaster recovery guide.
