You may want to look at the recent issue with CDI flag & i2000\Legato that 
is published in this coloum, the biggest chalange is getting all this 
vendors to take ownership of problem if they arise, i.e ADIC\IBM etc.
I have LTO2, the library is a very  good product.
Also look at Q842411 from MS.
