Thought this might be of some interest to the list.
 
We recently had a drive pack up on our Exchange 2000 server, we managed
to get it back up and running but quickly found that NetWorker couldn't
back it up.  The following errors were reported:

finished with errors.  No savetime was sent.
 
The fault, it seems, was caused by a corrupt log file in
C:\Exchsrvr\MDBDATA which was causing checksum errors.  It was fixed by
enabling circular logging on the information stores, removing all the
log files then disabling circular logging again.
