I'm sorry; "Green GUI" is my term for the old nwadmin GUI under Unix. I should
have realized that it's not green in non-Unix environments. But as I interpret
what I was told, the same applies to the old Windows GUI: okay for monitoring
7.3, but avoid using it to make changes.

You are in for an adventure with license management; you're probably wise not
to make too many changes at once :^)

Conrad,

By the "Green GUI" do you mean the NMC(new-java-web) or the old nwadmin
windows GUI ?
After hearing about all the problems with 7.3 I'm probably going to just go
with 7.2.1 on our 9 NetWorker servers now.

We're also having to convert from an Enterprise Enabler we use on all our
NetWorker servers to a license manager and all licenses managed there.

Thanks - John

I was advised during the beta test that the "Green GUI" is fine for monitoring
NetWorker 7.3 but should not be used for making changes, particularly to
devices and jukeboxes.

It can connect to multiple NetWorker servers. So, in a DMZ, you have NMC on the
inside, and tunneling through to the NetWorker server in the DMZ.
