On the windows server, first do a:
savegrp -D9 -vvvv -n -c epic6 SAVEGROUPNAME
That will do the backup for everything except actually doing the save.
If that doesn't give you enough detail then go ahead and do the backup
savegrp -D9 -vvvv -c epic6 SAVEGROUPNAME
