Which tools did you have to disable besides RSM?
I'm interested in W2000/W2K3/sol8/sol9.
I'm having the same (random) problem in a complex environment: 1 backup server,
3 storage nodes and 21 dedicated storage nodes who all see 11 LTO2 drives.
thanks
bart

capacity?
As our networker server is a solaris system I say the W2K3 storage nodes.
But as certain solaris tools which can manage tape devices had also to be
disabled I would suppose W2K3 networker servers too.
