Hello,
In our new backup routine, i will have a SAN attached to newly aquired tape
library i2000 from ADIC, Networker 7.2.1 and i will have most of the
clients as Windows 2k\3k etc.
There will be NAS ( EMC) and EMC clarion also attahced to NAS.
I am looking for information on best backup senarios for backup on NAS &
SAN attached Cleints ( Windows) to the EMC array.
Please give as much details and command reference as possible ( scripts).
I was thinking of using POwersnap to backup the array ( for offsite DR
tapes) & NDMP module to backup NAS-
What is your experiance and what is your enviroment-what problems and
issues do you have.
The SAN will be based on Brocade switches and tape system will be LTO-2.
130 Networker client will backup over network.Few over FC and SAN (2-3)
One storage node will be configured to offload Networker server.
Please let me know if you have addtional questions.
SAN size would be apx 5 GB.
