[Networker] advance file type question
2005-09-29 16:15:22
Hi,
I'm reading through the documentation for advance file type devices in
preparation for defining one of these devices. The administrator's
guide says:
When using the advanced file type device, the upper limits of save
set size depend on the upper limits supported by your operating system
or the
file size specified by your disk device vendor.
We're running our NW server on Solaris 9 (v7.1.3 of NW). According to
information we have found, certain applications can create large files
(larger than 2 GB) only if they are "large file aware". Is NetWorker
"large file aware"? Or will the size of our save sets be restricted to
less than 2 GB?
Thanks.
Teresa
