Hi All I appear to have a performance problem backing up 2 hosts that
live behind a pix firewall. When the backups are running I see
performance figures of about 200/300 kbs instead of the 5000/6000 kbs I
see on the hosts on the LAN. Would expext the hosts behind the firewall
to be slower but not to that extent.

Detail

Backup server Windows 2000 with networker 7.1.1

backed up servers Solaris 8 with the same

the Firewalls are cisco pix 515

The Rules on the PIX are

access-list 101 permit tcp host 10.100.2.19 host lifedata range 7937
9936
access-list 101 permit tcp host 10.100.2.19 host dbms range 7937 9936
access-list 101 permit udp host 10.100.2.19 host lifedata range 7937
9936
access-list 101 permit udp host 10.100.2.19 host dbms range 7937 9936

30000
access-list 101 permit udp host 10.100.2.19 host dbms range 10001 30000
 19 is the backup server

Is this the expexted thoughput or what am I doing wrong.

TIA
