Well, if you were using an EMC CLARiiON CX Series product at one end of the
connection, you could use EMC SAN Copy
(http://www.emc.com/products/software/san_copy.jsp). It allows you to copy
one source LUN/disk to one or more target disks across a SAN. I don't know
if HP offers a similar capability.

Subject: [Networker] SAN data migration

I have a question for a SAN spécialist.

I have to reorganise the disk in my SAN for a big 2TB client "Vrep"
Windows file system. The data is in a storageworks MA8000(HSG80) and I
want to move it temporarely in another MA8000(if possible or internaly if
not). I dont want to make the copy by Windows becose it will take forever
(10 Millon of files). Can I use an internal scsi command or some disk
mirorring fonction to do the tricks?

What will you do, what will be the step to follow?

Thanks in advance.
