That's what I recall hearing/reading, but I cannot find anything in the
HBAanywhere utility.

There is a setting in the Emulex 9000's to "Disable target resets".
This can be seen with both of the configuration tools (elxcfg and
HBAanywhere). I'm not sure if this exists in the 10000, but it might be
worth checking.

Good luck.

LP10000

Hello all,

I have 14 Storage Nodes running on Windows 2003. All run 7.2.1. All of
these servers have Qlogic 2340 or 2342 HBAs. They are zoned to STK
SN3400 bridges (OEM'd crossroads 10000) which have Certance LTO1 drives
connected. The library is an L700.

I just introduced a Dell Powervault 775N running Win2K3 with Emulex
LP10000 dual port HBAs.

I had I/O bus reset issues in the past on the Qlogic based servers, but
this was related to Removable Storage Service. Once I disabled this,
the resets went away. I checked all this on this new box, but the
problem remains.

I am new to the Emulex HBA world and was wondering whether anyone else
has had this issue and how it might be resolved on Emulex cards. I have
seen things about FCP-2 and TC Tape support, but I can't find anything
in the HBAanywhere utils.

TIA

Jim
