Hello Richard,

No -- this is not a media db problem -- it is merely that the UI has
difficulty in displaying volumes required.

If you expand and collapse the browse tree in the UI, you can generally get
the required media list.

Please do consider an update to NMEx 4.1 -- there were quite a few bugfixes.

Thanks,
_Scott

Subject: [Networker] Exchange and media database

Our server configuration is Networker 7.2_LGTpa69733.Build 15, running under
Solaris 9. Exchange server 2003 , with cluster running 7.2 client as well.
In addition the exchange module 4.0

What is happening, this is a new install of exchange, when we run a backup
of the exchange server, it completes. When we try to recover any part or
all of the exchange backup, using the gui, and you look under volumes
required, it says UNKNOWN. I moved the original mm directory out of the way
and made a new mm directory. Labeled a brand new tape and ran the backup.
This time under volumes required, it showed the tape number and UNKNOWN. Is
this pointing to corruption in the media database ?. If so is there a way
to fix it ?.
