Nick

We have performed file difference checks, as so have our customers who have
jumped to this version of OSX. No problems found to date.

We have not played too much with spotlight though.

One problem we have found with the NetWorker OSX client is any files that
start with ._ do not get backed up. (Dot Underscore)

Folders that start with ._ do get backed up.
I really don't know why you would want to use that naming convention!

These files are backed up with the inbuilt tar utility. They are also
restorable.

We have gathered enough information via debugging the application and logged
a call with Legato.

Has anyone seen this before?

Some of our customers employee's name their folders like this ^^^^^^Robert.
This enables them to locate their folder first. CRAZY!

Others have caught on and now dozens of folders start like this!

Richard

Hi Richard,

Thanks for you reply. Does it backup the spotlight metadata and ACL's?

Thanks,

Nick
