Hi Robert,

What libary firmware level is it? What drive firmware?

the newest, according to the Storagetek tech.

We have Library 3.07 (3.08 is out from STK wuth LTO3 support)

Then it is 3.08.01, if I remember right.

I just checked the server logs:

sym1: SCSI BUS has been reset.
blk: queue f7e1d018, I/O limit 1048575Mb (mask 0xffffffffff)
Vendor: STK Model: L700 Rev: 0308
Type: Medium Changer ANSI SCSI revision: 03

yup, 3.08.01

Our IBM LTO2's are 4C60 (STK has 53Y2 on their website).

Oh, which web site? The Storagetek man tried to flash the LTO2 to 4770, this would be a special STK release, he said.

Are you saying that library 3.03 may not like the drive 4C60 ?

If I remember right, the LTO2 is at fw level 53Y2 currently. The STK guy told me that this would be too new.

No STK support contract?

No...
