Why should it be a problem staging from tape? You can stage to and from any
media type. When you stage a save set, you make a copy (clone) of the data
on another volume (which doesn't need to be a clone volume as it does with
cloning), and then remove the original from the media database. If the
original volume is an adv_file volume you get the added benefit that the
space is reclaimed for re-use. There is no reason at all that the original
can't be some other media type, sich as tape, or the old style file device.
