Hi,

I recovered a file using nwrecover, and just before clicking 'go', it pops up this little dialog box that says:

Total estimated disk space needed for recover is 6696 KB.

Proceed with recover at this time?

HOWEVER, versions and file details shows the following attributes:

6696 -rw-rw-r-- 1 user_name group_name 130400308 Aug 11 16:53 filename

The recover ran just fine, and the recovered size was 130400308 bytes, but seemed odd that it would mention 6696 KB given that the file is actually around 120 MB. According to the Help, this must be the number of blocks because it's certainly not the mode or number of links, which BTW don't appear in the versions or details despite the fact the the Help says it does. You'd think, though, that it would tell you that you needed 120 MB of disk space for the recover? Why the discrepancy and how do you correlate the two?

George
