We are bringing online an Exchange 2003 server that will be backed up by a
UNIX server running Networker 7.2. The Exchange module 4.1 and the Cluster
module are installed. The exchange server is in a 2 node cluster. The
data is stored on a shared array with the 2nd node for fail over. When it
hits the Public Folders ( MSEXCH:PF ) , we start getting errors such as :

tacmail:MSEXCH:PF [1192] [E] 07/21/05 14:19:32 mbpfsv(1212): Item backup
fail

 tacmail:MSEXCH:PF Description: Access is denied.

It doesn't appear to be all folders , but a lot of them

I think it was back in January someone wrote in about a hot fix from
Microsoft. We got the hot fix , but the problem is still there. We had some
permission errors , but I think we have ironed those out. I have been to
legato's site and some of the solutions refer to the " public folder " must
reside on the local Exchange server.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks
