Leaving aside any other potential solutions I will answer your question
directly. The "No Index Save" attribute of your group is NOT what you
are looking for. All this means is that at the and of the client save it
will not save your client file index to tape. However, there is an
option in the pool that will prevent the index being written to disk at
all. This may make a small improvement to the backup performance but
will of course reduce the ease of your restores.
