In regard to: [Networker] How to view CAP door contents?, George Sinclair...:

Is there any way to view the contents of a (C)atridge (A)ccess (P)ort? We have a Storagetek L80tape library with a CAP door that has 5 slots. If I had some tapes in there, I could look on the library gui panel and see the names of the tapes if they had bar codes, but if I'm not at the library, is there a way I can do this remotely via NetWorker? Didn't see any options in nsrjb to do this. '-C' only shows contents of regular operation slots, not CAP.

This has been discussed on the list before, and is very likely in the
archive.

You're correct that nsrjb cannot show you what's in the load ports. For
the purposes of `-d' and `-w', the load ports are considered a black box.

You can use at least one of the sji* commands to check the load ports.
I've always preferred to use external commands, though. Most platforms
(you don't say what your server platform is) have software to manipulate
a media changer (robot). On Linux (and possibly Solaris) you can get
`mtx' from SourceForge and use that to query the "IMPORT/EXPORT" slots.
