Throughput is fine. We were able to ftp a large part of a 45GB file from
our NetWorker server to another server and it got something like 55MB/s if
I remember correctly, and that was across a firewall. As I recall, the
server has a Qlogic 2GB HBA in it for use with the tape drives.

That's the trouble, I see lots of devices with heavy multiplexing going on
that go long periods of time in the 6MB/s range, which strikes me as way
too slow for our network and hardware, so I am wondering if there any
kernal options that can be adjusted to improve this situation on Solaris
9.
