 As long as I can remember in Legato, there has been an issue. If a
Legato label can't be read on a tape, it will continue to seek through
the tape to EOT. This can take an extremely long time (50 minutes +),
and additionally if you have it check label on unmount, then it will
take 2x as long.

Has legato ever added a switch to tell it how many
filemarks/blocks/whatever to seek for a label before giving up?
