I don't think you will find this exact information written down. However
it's a general rule that any client version will work with a newer
server. I can't think of any exceptions. There are one or two special
cases where a client will work with selected older server versions too.
Of course support for NetWorker 6 is about to be discontinued in any
case, if in fact it hasn't already happened. I've a feeling that EOL for
NW6 was end of Jan this year.
