[Networker] Cross-platform recovery not possible anymore?
2005-02-23 09:41:48
It seems like cross platform recovery isn't possible anymore. We have
traditionally been running automated restore tests on a linux machine,
that recovers files from windows clients, but this stopped working a while
ago, probably when we upgraded to 7.1.3.
The error I get is:
recover: Permission denied by server britt.qbranch.se: Cross platform
recovery not supported
According to the knowledge base, this is, fairly enough, not supported.
But is there a way to get this to work anyway, even though it is not
supported?
It doesn't sound like a fun job to install cygwin on a windows box and
port the script to that host, just to test windows clients.
