I should have added that this is a sensible migration plan, since upgrading
the clients will prevent you from restoring from the old server. The only
comment I would make is that it would not be necessary to shutdown server B
in the intermediate stage for restores, a client can legitimately be
configured to backup/restore to/from more than server. You will of course
need to make changes to the servers file on all your clients.

You could of course upgrade your old server to 7.2 in the future if you
require restores at a later date (after upgrading the clients).
