Actually, I think it was FC2 that we had trouble with as a Networker
server. Many and various SCSI issues, specifically on the Jukebox
(Qualstar, 126 slot, 3 drive - AIT3). I don't think there are any
specific
problems with the AIT drives and FC3.

Where are the CIFS volumes?
SAMBA file shares on Linux machines? I'm trying to understand what the
filesystem architecture is that you have?

| Simon,
|
| I am indeed. About 15 of them at last count. And though it's
| not supported, our Networker server is running on Fedora Core 1.
| We can't, it seems, run the server with a 2.6 kernel -- SCSI has
| changes. Our experience has been that this client runs quite well
| on almost any flavor of Linux, and long before there was a claim to
| support Reiser File Systems, we were backing up our 1-terabyte
| RAIDZONE servers with our Networker clients.
