[Networker] Problem reading tapes following library upgrade
2005-01-25 14:41:38
Hello list member.
I have an issue with one my tape libraries. I recently upgraded the
library, from SDLT to SDLT 320, and have been requested to restore some
directories from an older backup (few months).
The problem I am having is that Networker loads the tapes in the drives and
it stays there forever. It seems likes it cannot read from the former tape
format. What am I missing here???
Tech Info:
Compaq Tru64 UNIX V5.1B (Rev. 2650)
NetWorker 6.1.4.Build.562 Network Edition
tape0_d1(J) sdlt320
tape1_d1(J) sdlt320
Messages being displayed are like:
Slot `15' is being loaded into drive `/dev/ntape/tape0_d1'
nsrjb: About to read label on /dev/ntape/tape1_d1
box_display: `-' for drive `/dev/ntape/tape0_d1'
Jukebox handle being closed at port [email protected]
About to release Robot arm lock
load sleep for 4 seconds
I even set the logical type as sdlt in the device config pane, to no avail.
What gives?
Regards and thanks,
Serge
