Hello,
You can tune your library timeouts (withdraw/deposit).
This value depends on the hardware, here L700e and the size of the library
(number of slot expansion installed...)
You can test how much time does a withdraw take time by running the command
timex sjimm [email protected] slot <x> inlt <y>
where [email protected] is the control port of the robot
x is a slot number, y is the port loader slot number (from 1 to 10)
For the value of x, use several slots (fist slot of the library, last slot of
the library)
Because one of the time factor is the time the library arm take to get to the
slot position and get back to the port loader slot.
Additionnaly, if you wanna tune all other timeouts, verify on the library
configuration that feature "Fast Load" is enabled or not. If so, when a tape is
loaded in a tape drive, the libray will not wait the tape to be mounted in the
drive to proceed with the next operation.
Regards.
Tarik.

Hi,
I have a problem... Library operations nsrjb -w ( withdraw very time consuming
) ... Approximately, 10 volumes withdraw took about 40 minutes.... I think this
is very big value... But deposit time have no problem... (it took 5 minutes)
How can I solve this?
Legato 7.1.1
SAN environment (4 clients)
