>From the way it has been explained to me you can have one physically
array(or internal disk with up to 1 TB.  So you can't take say 500Tb
from and Nexsan array mix it with 500TB from a Clariion array with the
same license.  This is how it was explained to me by our VAR.  We're
still on 6.x so I can't confirm one way or the other.

Hi,

Due to slow laptop backups 450 kB/s and LTO-2 drives I want to backup to
disk
for those. Running Networker 7 on solaris 8.

Disks added but creating a file type device needs a license.

Question: I found the ceapest license DiskBackup Option Tier 1; less
than 1
 Tb which will do for me and costs approx 2000 Euro (enduser).

Will that also enable advanced file devices or is that a separate
license
