Hi Admins,
I am running Legato 7.1.2 on Solaris 8 and am facing a very strange
problem.
I took some backup day before yday on LTO Gen II and yday when I needed
the restore, tape started giving following error,
12/02/04 15:40:47 nsrd: /dev/rmt/0cbn 1:Verify label operation in progress
12/02/04 15:40:53 nsrd: media warning: /dev/rmt/0cbn reading: Not enough
space
12/02/04 15:40:56 nsrd: media notice: Volume "" on device "/dev/rmt/0cbn":
Block size is 10240 bytes not 65536 bytes. Verify the device
configuration. Tape positioning by record is disabled.
12/02/04 15:40:56 nsrd: media warning: /dev/rmt/0cbn reading: Tape label
read for volume ? in pool ?, is not recognised by Networker: Not
enough space
12/02/04 15:40:56 nsrd: /dev/rmt/0cbn 1:Eject operation in progress
Now the tape is getting ejected automatically after giving the above
error, and it talks about 10Kb size on tape which is not at all supported
by Legato as the minimum size supported is 64KB.
Have tried running scanner on this tape but it gives lot of errors similar
to the above one.
Please help me out how to recover the data from this tape???
Thanks
Deepak
