When I was at an EMC conference last year some of the guys on the Centera
Backup and Recovery Module tema told me DDS would work fine.  We will
probably be implementing this setup soon.

The only thing is that the NDMP tape server is a separate server so you
cannot do NDMP backups on your Networker server or Storage nodes.  So you can
have a server, storage node or an NDMP tape server(but you would still need a
Networker server in the mix).

I should qualify my answer above. Without DDS or some other type of drive
sharing (such as AlphaStor) my statement is true. I don't actually know how
it would behave with DDS, I haven't tried it.
