We have the same issue's here. Looked with arp -a while running a backup.
The ip-adress-mac-adress translation is completly corrupt. Backup requist
were send to the wrong systems.

Rebooted the backup server and every thing was ok again.

It only happens on cluster clients (both unix and windows) when a failover
had occured but not allways.

We will have an ohter failover again and will do some more investigation. It
looks like that one of the routers in the network is sending an old arp cash
to the backup server until the backup server is rebooted.

Don't know if it's a bug in solraris or in the cisco network environment.

It's a nasty situation. For the unix environment the index information of
the virtual hosts are no longer logged under the proper client name making a
file system recovery rather complex.
