Thanks everybody. For reference the patch is LGTpa52303 found on Solution
ID 37931 - Can Networker 7.x client be backed up to a Networker 6.x server?

The document discusses the patch which is incorporated in the 6.14 release
and later.

Todd is correct make sure you get the patch for supporting 7.1.X clients.
Other than that we ran 6.1.3 with 7.0 and 7.1.X clients for about 5 months
and it worked fine.

There is a patch required for the 6.13 server to understand the new
savegroup report.

server?

Is there any reason that Legato 7.1x clients running on Windows 2003 would
not be supported saving to a Legato 6.13 build 428/Network Edition server
running on Solaris? I expect that this is supported but cannot confirm it
(yet). I am running into a couple of issues and believe them to be related
to the DNS configuration but wanted to make sure this design for Legato
should work.

Regards and thanks in advance,
