[Networker] Drive write performance
2004-09-27 13:39:03
We have a 100MB/sec network which is used for data and backup. Our backup
server is a Sun 280R running Solaris8 and has 2GB RAM and a similar config
storage node. We have LTO1 drives in a ADIC Scalar100 library, We currently
do not see backups moving more than 11MB/sec per drive.
Is there any parameter which can be tweaked to get a better write
performance?
I am starting to believe that it is our network which becoming a bottleneck.
I even tried backup to disk and I do not get any better performance writing
the backup to disk.
Any ideas/suggestions??
Thanks
Somen
