Tested this today. Installed lgtoclnt-7.1.2-1.i686.rpm from CD on host
using rpm -U option so any prior pieces/parts would get removed first.

In theory that's right, but I would check carefully to make sure that you
still have the start stop scripts for nsrexecd.  There's been a
long-standing bug in Legato's RPMs, so that upgrades (-U) remove the
start/stop scripts.  It might be fixed in the 7.1.x series, I don't know.
You should verify that that nsrexecd starts after a reboot, though.
