I have hade that problem with when i did a recover with add * but when i did a 
saveset recover it worked

Just forgot to say that tapes are ok, stored in a safe place (low temp,
low dust) and
that the tape was cleaned recently. So NetWorker Error Message Guide
didn't really
help...
