Hi All,

I'm stummped on this on. I'm working w/ a Solaris 8 server (6.1.3) and Solaris
8 client (6.1.3 and later upgraded to 7.1.2 to see if it would help). The
error message is:

save: SYSTEM error: `<client>' is not a registered client
save: Cannot open save session with <server>

This is what I've verified/tried so far:

- DNS works forward and backward on both the client and server

- queried all DNS nameservers for proper records

- /etc/resolv.conf is Ok

- /etc/nodename is Ok

- /etc/hosts is Ok

- /etc/nsswitch.conf is Ok

- NIS name resolution is Ok

- /nsr/res/servers is Ok

- All known client aliases are published in the client's resource

- savegrp 'probe' works from the server (!!!)

- 'save -s ...' on client fails w/ same mesg

- the client is in fact registered with NW.

- plenty of available licenses (17 free)

- all the other clients are running as expected

- Hardcoded host entries in /etc/hosts on both client and server w/o success

I'm out of ideas. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
        /\/elson
