You can use the following procedure (pathownerignore) for the backup.
(it is works perfectly with VCS)

----------------------------------------------
For clusters that NetWorker supports, NetWorker can communicate with the
clusters to get this information. NetWorker uses this information to
ensure that the cluster managed mount points are backed up to the
virtual client's index.

For unsupported clusters, NetWorker does not talk to the cluster, and
therefore cannot get this information. In these cases, NetWorker can
sometimes be configured to back up the specified shared mount points to
a virtual node's index, as follows:

Example:

Cluster physical nodes: pnode1, pnode2
Cluster virtual node: vnode1

1. Create clients for pnode1 and pnode2 with
saveset = All
NOTE: A saveset of all on the physical node that owns the shares may
also backup the virtual clients drives under that physical nodes index

2. Create client, vnode1 with
saveset = specified shared mount points
remote user = *@pnode1, *@pnode2
backup command = save -c vnode1

3. Create an empty file called pathownerignore
in the same directory as the NetWorker binaries.

4. Run savegrp -vvv -c vnode1
Output will show that NetWorker is detecting the "pathownerignore"
file and backs up to the virtual node's index

In Sum: This workaround has 3 restrictions:
1) Virtual node saveset must specify the shared mount points.
2) The flag file "pathownerignore" must be created on all physical
nodes.
3) The backup command must contain "save -c virtual_node".

Daniel.

Anyone on the list backing up a Solaris / Veritas Cluster 4?

Legato say it isn't support yet but will be in a unspecified future
version.

I'd like to know if anyone has had any luck in backing it up using
existing versions of Legato.

If anyone has more useful timescales of when Legato will support it then
that would be useful as well.
