No, you should not have to scan them is as they are known to networker (via
the mediadb).   Choices are:
a.) Do a saveset recover (if you know the saveset id).
b.) Use nsrck -L7 -t timeyouwant clientname  . You'll need the tapes with
a full of the index and the last level 9 of index for the client.
