Resending this with a more interesting Subject header since no one
has replied to my previous post.

Suddenly auto labeling of new tapes failing - why?

Some details:

Our jukebox &/or Networker (Spectralogic Gator w/AIT2 drives, Networker 6.1.3)
will suddenly not label & start writing to new unlabeled tapes. It was working
fine
until last night. Past std procedure: withdraw full tapes, mass-import new ones,
inventory and let it go. I reset & re-inventoried the jukebox w/o success,
& tried halting NW, power-cycling the jukebox & restarting NW - no success
either.

Here's a sample cycle:
----------------------
 Wed 11:30:54 media info: loading volume - into
rd=legato.corp.loudcloud.com:/dev/rmt/2cbn
 Wed 11:30:56 media info: suggest labeling volume from slot 3 in jukebox Gator
on
     legato.corp.loudcloud.com for writing NDMP Pool
 Wed 11:31:03 nsrjb notice: nsrjb -j Gator -Y -O369 -L -B -m -G -M -bNDMP Pool
-S 3
 Wed 11:31:07 media info: loading volume - into
rd=legato.corp.loudcloud.com:/dev/rmt/3cbn
 Wed 11:31:22 rd=legato.corp.loudcloud.com:/dev/rmt/3cbn Verify label operation
     in progress
 Wed 11:31:34 media warning: file number not zero, but 1159751749
 Wed 11:31:47 media warning: file number not zero, but 1159751749
 Wed 11:32:07 rd=legato.corp.loudcloud.com:/dev/rmt/3cbn volume id 0 (NOT in
media index)
 Wed 11:32:10 rd=legato.corp.loudcloud.com:/dev/rmt/3cbn Eject operation in
progress

I seached the archives for info on the following NW message but found nothing:

     media warning: file number not zero, but 1159751749

What does this message mean, and does it have anything to do with the inability
of Networker to use the new tapes?

If I should supply additional info please let me know what...

Warmest regards,
