Hello all,

I know I can run scanner <device> to scan a tape a get a listing of all the
datasets on the tape. However I'd like to know if there is a way to run
scanner to only get information for a specific client. If I try to run
"scanner -c <client> <device>" I'm informed I can't use -c without -i or -x
<args>. I don't want to use the -i, as that would rebuild the media and
online indexes for the client, and I'm only wanting to verify it, not
rebuild it. And it sounds like the -x is for UNIX commands, whereas my
Networker server is 7.1.2 on Windows 2000.

Any ideas how I can verify for a specific client or do I just have to verify
the whole tape and be happy with it?

Thanks for any help,

David D. Herrmann
