Tim,

Just perhaps a silly question, Have you installed the "module" on the
exchange client (this would probably be version BSM 4 Exch 2.5) and have you
configured the client on your backup server to use the "backup command -
nsrxchsv.exe" ? (remote tab)

As this is normally when one forgets to tell it to use the module executable
and it tries to use the normal backup command to understand the MSEXCH
saveset ...

Regards,

Riaan

Hello All,

I have just upgraded out Networker backup system from 5.7 to 7.1, it
was running on NT4 but is now running on Win2k server. I have managed
to get all clients up and running and doing backups and recoveries -
except our exchange server (NT4 service pack 6/Exchange 5.5 service
pack 4).

I am able to do a file system backup (except for the folders that
exchange have locked open) but when it comes to doing an MSEXCH backup
I am having problems. This is the error that I am getting

This happens wether I use MSEXCH, MSEXCH:IS, MSEXCH:/Directory.

I am able to connect using the client on exchange (BSM for exchange
version 2.0 patch 3) and browse through the previous backups without a
problem, so the connection is obviously there.

Any help that you may have will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Tim Aitken
