I don't know anything about backing up Lotus Notes and I've never touched
NML, but if the only message you received was "No full backups of this save
set were found in the media database", it doesn't seem to me that's an
error.

It's perfectly normal the first time you back up a new client, if the
schedule calls for an incremental or differential backup. NetWorker is just
telling you that it couldn't find a full backup as a base for the
incremental so it is doing a full.

If your backup did indeed fail, there must be another error message.
