thanks for that, yeah I spent some time over the weekend investigating a
little more into this, and have found that the RMAN backups perform in a
similar fashion to a database export, so the database files no longer
have ".dbf, .ctl" or redo##.log names, so the directives to skip any files
such as these will not have any detrimental affect on the RMAN backups
using the Oracle Module......
