We had no trouble with AIT-2 using 128K block sizes. I can not speak from
direct experience on using 192K block sizes for AIT-2 tapes but I know you
can set them even higher than that so you should not have any problems.

Yes you still will have problems mounting the tape that have old block sizes
on them. That will be fine though as NetWorker will still read off of them.
If you need to you can shutdown networker and set the block size back to
your old one and do your restores and then change it back.

Have fun!

Thanks -- I upgraded the firmware. Now if I make thsi change, I assume
I'll have trouble monuting the old tapes built with a diffetrnet
blocksize. Also, do you know if an AIT-2 tape drive can use
192K blocks?

Also, does "handler default" mean "whatever NSR_DEV_BLOCK..." is set to?
