We got a patch from Legato which solved this problem that we had.

"This is a hotfix for LGTpa64489. This addresses issues with recover files
using members of Backup Operator Group. It was built from the nw_7_1_1 tree
(build 277).  It is to be applied over 7.1.1 only."

By the way your backup server is w2k with networker 7.1.1.
