blat has been great, i highly recommend it. the syntax we have used w/v1.9.4 is:
blat - -to <email address> -s "<subject>" -server <smtp server name> 

i imagine the syntax will remain the same w/subsequent versions.

We used blat 1.9x for a long time. Then the smtp server was updated from 
Exchange 5.5 to 2000. After this, Mails from blat are rejected every time.
I have updated blat to version 2.2 from http://blat.sf.net and the problems are 
gone.
